Indian Holy cities predominantly Varanasi, Haridwar and Rishikesh hold spectacular Ganga Arti ceremony every evening at Sunset. The sunset Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh draws between hundreds and thousands of visitors each day from all cultures, languages, and faith. Pilgrims gather on the banks of the Ganges where fire is offered to Lord Shiva & Holy River Ganges. The ceremony commences around the sunset with the singing of devotional songs & prayers by children studying vedas at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram and the spiritual head of the ashram. The arti is done with lamps that are lit and passed from people to people. A grand lighted statue of lord Shiva in the backdrop makes the experience truely mesmerizing.
